Eat Bake Drink Cook

Eat and Drink: Food Blogger Forum 2013

I am in shock.  I am in shock that it was over a week ago that I was in Disney.  I am in shock over how many amazingly talented people there are out there.  And…I am in shock at how different Disney seems from adult eyes…..still “magical” but different.

I mean when this is on your bed when you arrive, how can you not be in awe?

I attended Food Blog Forum in Orlando, FL.  And boy, does Disney put on a show.  The conference was organized by Lindsay (remember when I talked about her here, here, and here?) and Julie along with Jaden & Scott, and Diane & Todd.  Disney was a huge sponsor and put us up in the beautiful Grand Floridian.

I arrived early and spent lunch with Katrina, Amanda, Rachel, and Julie.  We did dessert right.

Then I found the pool.  And a drink. :)

We started the weekend off with a fabulous reception. Remember when I said Disney put on quite a show??? They used tweezers to garnish our food….

I met Dianna and Sloane at the reception and afterwards, we headed to the Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks and check out the Electric Parade.

The next day we started bright and early with a delicious breakfast (and look at that fruit).

We had some wonderful presentations by Jaden and Scott about redefining success.  They made us think about why we blog and what we want that to bring us.  It helped me realize why I blog….Because it makes me happy and I have fun doing it.  Not to make money, or become famous, but just because I have fun doing it.  Thanks Jaden and Scott (and their super adorable kids)!

We took a break for lunch and wow!  The theme was Kid’s Cuisine from Disney.

And after…..

Yeah…Stephanie, Rebecca, Charles, Tanya and I were not shy.   We tried everything.

We also heard from the most amazing White on Rice Couple, Diane and Todd.  Their photography is so inspiring.

And Babette, Elise and Erik talked to us about the importance of Pintrest!

One of the most amazing sessions was done by a Disney Imagineer, Tim Warzecha.  He told us about how Sanaa, a restaurant in the Animal Kingdom Lodge came to be.  It was unbelievable.  We learned that every single nook and cranny is thoughtfully researched and planned.

Lindsay, Julie, David, and Jeff talked with us about building our communities.fbf7

We capped the night off with some VIP treatment at Hollywood Studios Fantasmic show.

The weekend concluded on Sunday with a spectacular brunch by Whole Foods Orlando.

I met some fabulous people that I will definitely stay in touch with.

Dianna and Sloane

and Kim, my roomie!

And the swag??? It was unbelievable and super generous.  Thanks sponsors!

It’s so true how different Disney is as an adult. I think we felt rushed and not able to really take it all in too but still enjoyable – just in a different way. I’m still craving more of that apple loaf 😉 Great recap Erin!
